By downloading or using Flow State ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the App.
These Terms form a binding agreement between you and Flow State ("we," "us," or "our"). We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
Flow State is designed for personal productivity and habit-building. To use the App, you must:
The App is provided for personal, non-commercial use only. You may not use the App on behalf of an organization without our prior written consent.
Flow State offers a free tier and a premium "Gold" subscription. All billing is processed securely through Apple's App Store — we never see or store your payment information.

Free trial. New Gold subscribers receive a 7-day free trial. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, your Apple ID will be charged the applicable subscription price. Trials are available to new subscribers only; Apple controls trial eligibility.
Auto-renewal. Gold subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the renewal date. Apple will charge your Apple ID within 24 hours of the renewal date.
Price changes. If we change subscription pricing, we will provide advance notice. Continued use after the price change takes effect constitutes acceptance of the new price.
You may cancel your Gold subscription at any time through your iPhone or iPad Settings. To cancel:
Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. You will retain Gold access until that date. We do not offer partial-period refunds, as billing is managed entirely by Apple. If you believe you were charged in error, you may request a refund directly from Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com.
Deleting the App does not cancel your subscription. You must cancel through your Apple ID Settings as described above.
The Flow State AI Coach ("Coach") is a Gold-exclusive feature powered by Anthropic's Claude AI. It reads your habit names, completion history, and streaks to provide personalized advice.
What you send. When you send a message to the Coach, your message and a summary of your habit data (habit names, streak counts, completion rates) are transmitted securely to Anthropic's API to generate a response. Chat messages are not stored on our servers beyond the duration of the session.
Not professional advice. The Coach is a productivity tool designed to support habit formation. It is not a substitute for medical, psychological, nutritional, or any other professional advice. Do not rely on it for health decisions.
AI limitations. The Coach may occasionally produce inaccurate or unhelpful responses. We do not guarantee the accuracy of any AI-generated content. You are responsible for how you act on the Coach's suggestions.
Third-party terms. Use of the AI Coach is also subject to Anthropic's Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
You own your habit data. Flow State stores your habits, streaks, and completion history locally on your device. We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for advertising purposes.

You may export your data at any time from the App's settings. You may request deletion of any server-side data by contacting us at support@flowstateapp.io.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access for violations of these terms.
The App is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the App will be error-free, uninterrupted, or free of security vulnerabilities.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Flow State and its team shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the App — including loss of data, streak resets due to technical errors, or reliance on AI Coach responses.
Our total liability to you for any claim arising from these Terms shall not exceed the amount you paid for your current subscription period.
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. For material changes, we will notify you via an in-app notice or an email to the address on file with your Apple ID.
Your continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.
